Eco Providers crowned Lancashire’s Scale Up Business of the Year at BIBAs 2024

Longridge-based heating and insulation refrofitting company Eco Providers has been crowned this year’s Scale Up Business of the Year among a range of ambitious, high-growth Lancashire businesses at the Be Inspired Business Awards (BIBAs) 2024 on Friday (September 20).

The company, which provides upgrades to help homeowners reduce energy bills and lower carbon emissions, was announced as the winner from eight scaleup finalists.

Other winners on the night included Blackpool-based Complete.Online, which won the Digital & Marketing Business of the Year, and Lancaster-based HSE Advice UK which won the New Business of the Year. Both businesses have previously taken part in Two Zero’s Scaleup Leader’s Network programme.

This year’s awards were headline sponsored by Lancashire County Council, with Turnkey Corporate sponsoring the Scale Up Business of the Year category.

Phillippa Williamson, leader, Lancashire County Council said: “Lancashire has a diverse and growing economy and our headline sponsorship of this year’s BIBAs is about recognising and celebrating the achievements of our county’s businesses. Scaleups are a vital part of this community and punch above their weight in their contribution to economic growth.

“Eco Providers is an outstanding example of a thriving scaleup in a growing sector. Its success and growth are not only making a tangible difference in our community by creating jobs and boosting the local economy but promoting sustainability and positive change in our local environment too. I can’t wait to follow their continued growth over the coming years.”

The BIBAs is one of Lancashire’s longest running business awards programmes and is run by the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce.

It celebrates some of the most exciting companies and entrepreneurs based in Lancashire, showcasing their success stories and highlighting Lancashire’s position as a world-class business community.

In addition to Eco Providers, the shortlist for the Scale Up Business of the Year award included Adlington Law, Bid Writing Service, Climarite, Lunar Refrigeration, Suresite Group, Thompsons Contracts and Wignalls Chartered Surveyors.
