A host of fast-growing Lancashire companies were recognised as Blackburn-based Sales Geek won the Scaleup Award at this year’s Be Inspired Business Awards (BIBAs) held on Friday September 17.
The award was sponsored by Two Zero and presented to Sales Geek by Councillor Aidy Riggott, Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Growth, Lancashire County Council.
Sales Geek provides strategic sales help and sales training to ambitious business and sales professionals who want to grow. Last year the company’s leadership team took part in Two Zero’s Scaleup Resurgence programme, designed to help scaleup businesses recover quickly from the effects of the pandemic and return to their growth trajectory.
Two Zero is a Lancashire County Council led scaleup partnership and helps the leaders of Lancashire scaleup businesses realise their ambition by delivering programmes, providing access to inspirational and educational resources and opportunities to network with other scaleup leaders.
Cllr Aidy Riggott said: “It’s been a pleasure to recognise the finalists’ contribution to Lancashire economy. The finalists in this year’s Scaleup Award demonstrate the wide variety of sectors including professional services, manufacturing and the rural sector, all growth areas for our county.”
The BIBAs is Lancashire’s most prestigious and longest running business awards programme and is run by the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce.
It celebrates some of the most exciting companies and entrepreneurs based in Lancashire, showcasing their success stories and highlighting Lancashire’s position as a world-class business community.
Cllr Aidy Riggott added: “We hope that Lancashire County Council can support each and every finalist through Two Zero and our other business support services as they continue their growth story, which will help to provide jobs and wealth for the Lancashire economy.”
This year’s awards ceremony took place at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom with all winners receiving a share of £38,000 prize money to invest in their business.
